Nursing Mission Trip 2019

Jersey College will be selecting one student enrolled in any track of a Professional Nursing Program from each campus to participate in the Nursing Mission Trip. The selection committee will also select two alumni to participate as mentors to the nursing students.

 

The opportunity to apply for the Mission starts on February 11, 2019 and ends on March 8, 2019.
 

How to Apply:

Eligible individuals can apply for the Mission by submitting a 2019 Jersey College Mission Trip Application which includes an essay written on the following theme: “As a Student at Jersey College, How Have You Demonstrated PRIDE, the elements of our institution’s value statement?”or "As an alumnus of Jersey College, How Have You Demonstrated PRIDE, the elements of our institution’s value statement?".

The Essay should be between 500 and 1,000 words in length (typed with 12pt Times New Roman Font and single spacing in a Microsoft Word document or PDF).

Application submissions must be emailed to mission@jerseycollege.edu. Full terms are included on the application.

 To be eligible for the Mission, applicants must be:

• A legal U.S. citizen or resident;
• Eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time when the Mission trip begins;
• Enrolled as a student at Jersey College at the time of the applying and at the time the
Mission participants are selected; or applicant must be a graduate from a Jersey
College professional nursing program.
• A student at the campus from which the applicant is applying for participation in the
Mission or applicant must be a graduate from a Jersey College professional nursing
program; and
• In good academic, financial and other standing with Jersey College.
• Student must be registered in one of the following courses on March 15, 2019:
NUR202, NUR203, NUR204, NUR205, NUR222, NUR223, NUR224, NUR225,
NUR226; or applicant must be a graduate from a Jersey College professional nursing
program.
• Student or alumnus must receive two signatures from Jersey College faculty
signifying a recommendation to participate.
• Student/alumnus must agree to adhere to Jersey College’s Code of Conduct and all
rules as per the Student Handbook and Catalog during the Mission Trip.
• Student/alumnus or must complete and sign the following form:
INDEMNIFICATION, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, RELEASE, COVENANT NOT
TO SUE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE AUTHORIZATION
AGREEMENT
