Jersey College has a holistic approach to the nursing education process.

We believe in a holistic approach to nursing education that recognizes the importance of addressing the physical, emotional, social, economic, and spiritual needs of patients in our ever-changing, complex society. These principles provide the structural framework and foundation for the nursing curriculum.

*It’s important to note that each nursing student is different. Program length is subject to change and is determined based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to: (i) pace of completion, (ii) quantity of credits taken per term, (iii) repeats of coursework, and (iv) leaves.

 

Practical Nursing Curriculum

The LPN Program includes both academic classroom work and clinical education in our training labs and with our offsite practicum partners. The program follows a humanistic model, recognizing that every person is uniquely composed and more than a sum of their parts.

Professional Nursing Curriculum

Traditional RN Track

The Professional Nursing curriculum in Fort Lauderdale is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality patient care, and to prepare them for success in the healthcare field.

  • LEVEL III

*Students at campuses in New Jersey are required to take MAT201 (Math for Problem-solving & Research) and students at all other campusesin Florida are required to take MAT202 (College Algebra)

**Students granted advanced placement in the Professional Nursing program receive upon completion of NUS201 (LPN to RN Transition) 20.0 quarter credits for prior learning related to completion of a Practical Nursing program.

Bridge Track

Students who have already completed a Licensed Practical Nurse program may qualify for an advanced placement track of the RN program. 

The LPN to RN Bridge track of the Professional Nursing program in Fort Lauderdale includes both academic classroom work and clinical education in our training labs and with our offsite practicum partners. This comprehensive approach ensures that students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
