Nurse Residency at Largo Medical Center

The Nurse Residency Track of the Professional Nursing program educates and prepares students for entry level registered nursing positions in a variety of health care settings. The program consists of course work in nursing, science, general education, and clinical practice at select health care institutions. The Nurse Residency Track is an on-site hospital-based Registered Nursing program through an affiliation between Largo Medical Center and Jersey College.

Excellence in Nursing Education

Jersey College offers an education that is comprehensive, including both clinical and theoretical components.  Dedication to both theory and clinical activities within the nursing curriculum enables our graduates to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to practice nursing confidently and safely in a rapidly changing health care system.

Nursing Program in Largo

Classes are located at Largo Medical Center at 2025 Indian Rocks Rd., Largo, FL 33774.

The Professional Nursing Program at Largo Medical Center offers an on-site hospital-based Nurse Residency Track to become a RN in the St. Petersburg region. At the conclusion of the Nurse Residency Track, graduates are expected to understand the patient care system, nursing philosophy and healthcare initiatives of the hospital, and have developed collegial and professional relationships with members of the hospital.
