Jersey College Partners With Walker Valley High School to Support Pediatric Cancer Awareness During GOLD Night

Jersey College Cleveland and Knoxville were honored to sponsor Walker Valley High School’s GOLD Night football game, an evening dedicated to raising awareness for pediatric cancer and supporting children and families affected by the disease.

Each September, Walker Valley High School dedicates one football game to GOLD Night, bringing students, families and the community together to recognize pediatric cancer survivors and fighters, honor children who have become angels, and show support for their families.

This year’s GOLD Night, held Friday night, was dedicated to supporting the Hawk family. Liam Hawk, an eighth-grade student from Cleveland, Tennessee, is currently fighting pediatric cancer. The community came together throughout the evening to show Liam and his family that they are surrounded by love and support.

For Jersey College, being part of this special evening was an opportunity to stand alongside Walker Valley High School and the Cleveland community in support of an important cause. As members of the local community, our Cleveland and Knoxville campuses are proud to support initiatives that bring people together and make a difference in the lives of local families.
