Jersey College partnered with Trenton Public Schools to raise community awareness for Sickle Cell Disease

Nursing students and faculty from Jersey College partnered with Trenton Public Schools Office of School Health to raise community awareness for Sickle Cell Disease during the 7th Annual Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Color Fun Run/Walk/Stride.

Students from both the Professional Nursing (RN) and Practical Nursing (LPN) programs, alongside their instructors, actively participated in the 2K color walk. Their involvement highlights Jersey College’s ongoing commitment to community outreach, public health advocacy, and supporting local educational and healthcare initiatives.

Through events like the annual Color Walk, Jersey College students gain valuable experience engaging directly with the community while advocating for important health causes that impact local residents.
