The Nurse Residency track now offers an Advanced Placement option for currently licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
The Nurse Residency Track of our Professional Nursing program is located within Largo Medical Center and Bayfront Health Port Charlotte. This hospital-based nursing program is built upon current nursing practice and includes general education and nursing courses in addition to classroom theory, challenging assignments, skill labs, and clinical experiences that prepare students for an entry-level RN position. Upon successful completion of all program requirements, students earn an Associate of Science degree in Nursing (A.S.N.). The goals of the Nurse Residency Track are to:
